Without Artifice, is a CD that intends to tell Andrew Armstrong and John Jenkin's combined enterpretation of Robert Schumann's Dichterliebe, and Ludwig Van Beethoven's An Die Ferne Geliebte. These classic German song cycles with words by Heinrich Heine and Alois Jeittlees respectively, contain timeless expressions of love, loss, longing and lonliness knitted together by a narrative of hope.
