ABOUT

Andrew Armstrong is a West Midlands based Tenor, who recently graduated from Royal Birmingham Conservatoire where he studied as a scholar under the tutelage of renowned Tenor, Christopher Turner. Andrew has performed roles in a variety of operatic productions. Recent roles include: Monostatos in Mozart's Die Zauberflöte, Testo in Monteverdi's Il combattimento di Tancredi e Clorinda in a staged adaption of a selection of madrigals, Prosper in Offenbach's La Vie Parisienne, Remendado in Bizet's Carmen, Ben Budge in Offenbach's Beggar's Opera and Jaquino in Beethoven's Fidelio. He  recently completed a season with the The National Gilbert & Sullivan Opera Company. 

Andrew's musical roots stem from singing in a church choir with his father from the age of six, then following his brother he became a deputy head chorister at Lichfield Cathedral. Andrew has an active career in choral music having held the position of Acting Lay Clerk at Birmingham Cathedral, Tenor Scholar with the Birmingham Bach Choir and Tenor Choral Scholar at Blackburn Cathedral, he now performs with Convivium Singers and Lassus Consort.
